Declaration

I am starting to inform myself about raw food diets, vegetarian diets, the effects of cooked food vs raw food on the body, etc... This journey has already proven interesting and the purpose of this blog is to help me follow and track courses I choose and the changes I experience. I am not a person to make changes without some level of information first. Although once I make up my mind to do or try something, I have little patience but to move forward.

I am keeping this private for now, more like a diary. I just want a sounding board for myself. I do plan, however, to open it up within the next few months or so, for public consumption.

Upfront, a couple of assertions about myself and this process;
I don't like to call attention to myself, nor do I like when others call attention to themselves. While true allergies exist, I have also suspected some people declare dietary likes or restrictions or even allergies, in what I see as simply a need to be noticed and have attention. Gaah.
My interest or practice in eating raw will be under the radar, when doable in my own home, when traveling and able etc.

I will not forgo cultural, or gastronomical experiences for the sake of dogmatic adherence or dietary guidelines of raw, or any other label.

I love food, love experiences around good food, and passionate chefs and preparers. This is more important to me than meeting some measurement of being a certain percentage raw for any given day.
